• Enclosure: Minimum 20-gallon tall terrarium or an 18″ x 18″ x 24″ vertical glass enclosure for a single adult. Arboreal (tree-dwelling), so vertical climbing space and branches are essential.
• Temperature: Keep ambient temperatures between 72°F and 78°F (avoid sustained temperatures above 80°F–82°F).
• Humidity: Maintain levels between 60% and 80%, allowing the enclosure to dry out slightly between mistings (mist 1–2 times daily).
• Diet: Omnivorous. Feed a commercial Crested Gecko Diet (CGD) fruit/nectar powder mix 3–4 times a week, supplemented with calcium-dusted feeder insects (such as discoid roaches) 1–2 times a week.

• "Firing Up": Flame morphs can change the intensity of their colors and patterns depending on mood, temperature, and time of day, becoming richer and brighter ("fired up") or paler ("fired down").
• Growing Spots: Dalmatian crested geckos can actually develop more black or brown spots as they mature and grow older.
• No Eyelids: They lack movable eyelids and instead have a transparent scale (brille) covering their eyes, which they clean by licking with their tongue.
• No Tail Regrowth: Unlike many other gecko species, if a crested gecko drops its tail due to stress or a threat, it will not grow back.
